A client with a passion for the Arts & Crafts style asked for a garden that had both functional and decorative areas. A vegetable patch, a greenhouse and an arbour all fit comfortably into a relatively small space, with plenty of room for an elegant curvilinear seating area.

In this design, an existing greenhouse was moved to create a more attractive and usable space. Existing paving was also extended to form a useful terrace near the house.

The shaped lawns and seating area reflect the organic forms so beloved of the the Arts & Crafts designers. This garden combines a number of different functions into a successful and practical whole.
