This retired couple requested a low-maintenance garden which would be suitable for a dog. They wanted to incorporate a number of existing features, including a pond and trees.

Much of the surface is paved in this garden, to simplify upkeep. Wide shrub borders add privacy and greenery, and standard shrubs in pots add structure and colour.

A sunny seating area and a new wisteria-covered pergola are important elements of the new garden, which can be enjoyed for many months of the year.
